With the initiation of our "Zero Defects ... Whatever It Takes!" campaign, Quality Steel took a stand on tanks built and shipped with any type of cosmetic or structural defect.

"We want our customers to know that we are serious about quality. If one of those tanks doesn’t look good, then I don’t look good," explains Virgil Mullins, Vice President of Operations.

In addition to existing tests by our resident inspector, four additional inspection points have been added that check each tank for manufacturing and cosmetic defects. Each problem is fixed by trained personnel, and data is recorded and closely monitored by management.

"Every employee has the authority to ‘red tag’ any tank if a defect is found. Adding this to an unbeatable incentive program, the plant staff strives to make sure that every tank that comes out of our factory is a quality tank, ready to meet the demands of today’s propane industry."
